Racoon/Errol Shoot Step by Step: Brunette

Step 1: Preparing the hair

Point cutting hair texture

Remove the weight line by point cutting texture into the perimeter to seamlessly blend the hair extensions.

Step 2: Sectioning the Hair

Hair sectioning into an offset reverse triangle

Section the hair into an offset reversed triangle, leaving a two finger gap from the front of the hairline. The asymmetric reversed angle is positioned with the base of the triangle towards the crown and the point of the triangle at the temple.

Step 3: Forming a bond

Hair bonding for extensions

Bleed the bonding through the hair by pushing up from beneath, bringing the hands together. Pinch top and bottom and roll between the fingers to form a solid bead using both hands. Repeat until a solid row of hair extensions is created.

Step 4: Color Placement

Dramatic hair color placement

Apply a blend of Plum and Claret Vibrant Euro Extensions (Racoon colors E70 & E76) throughout the section in order to create a dramatic color placement.

Step 5: Blending the extensions

Blending of hair extensions with the natural hair

Use a razor to remove the bulk of the weight so that the extensions will hang better and blend well with the natural hair.

Step 6: Cutting the extensions

Point cutting technique to create a side sweeping fringe

Use scissors to continue blending the extensions and natural hair together following the shape of the initial cut. Use a point cutting technique to create a side sweeping fringe for a softer finish.

Step 7: Styling

Style hair to enhance the shape and definition

Enhance the shape and definition of the style using styling irons. To finish the look, apply a small amount of Racoon-Xtend Hair Serum to give the hair ultimate shine and a light hold.
