Q: What is a spot perm? How do you wrap it? What products do you use - normal perming lotion?

A: A spot perm is simply a targeted perm where a specific section of the hair is permed as opposed to the whole head. It would also be called a "partial perm".

These are most often performed to add volume to a specific area of the head. Apart from the specific focus on one section of the head, the perm process is exactly the same as traditional perms.

The hair is wrapped according to the type of curl or wave you want, and/or what will best suit the rest of the hair.
